Jewelry on this page is made from 24k gold (.999) and Platinum (.999,  or 950 pt = 5% alloy), requiring no further qualifying. A higher percentage of alloy in Platinum requires qualifying marks (ie: 900 pt - 10% alloy).

Each piece is hand-cut, formed and has various textured surfaces. Stones range from Diamonds and colored gems to Pearls, to custom cut lapidary. I carved all the rocks from Maui. Gold is left in as pure a state as possible.

Platinum shapes are cut from sheet and the edges are melted to give a rustic and non-linear contrast to the linear lines of the gold. Platinum gives the form a way to hold onto its shape. Sometimes a small "Footprint" is added.

Even though pure metals are dense (heavier) and "tough", they are still very soft, because of this purity. Bracelets are prone to the most stress. Given their longer length the metal has more of a chance to bend and sway. Bracelets must have a good fit and be well cared for. One should not need to "open and close" it to put it on, which causes weakness, stress and eventual breakage.
